What We Do
At the 1 Million AfCFTA Impact Consortium, we are building a continent-wide platform that empowers women- and youth-led SGBs to scale, thrive, and lead Africa’s inclusive transformation through trade and enterprise. Our interventions are delivered through seven strategic pillars
Policy Advocacy & Research
We conduct forward-looking research and drive evidence-based advocacy to shape inclusive enterprise and trade policies. Our insights support AfCFTA implementation strategies across 54 African countries and facilitate women and youth –led SGBs inclusion.
Strategic Engagement
We actively engage public and private sector stakeholders—including government authorities, regional bodies, trade institutions, ESOs, investors, civil society and development partners—to foster alignment and shared ownership. Through stakeholder forums, policy brief and dialogues, we co-create actionable solutions that strengthen Africa’s enterprise support infrastructure.
Ecosystem Building (1 Million AfCFTA Impact Hub)
We strengthen Africa’s enterprise support ecosystem by fostering collaboration, sharing resources, and promoting best practices among ESOs, BDS providers, consultants, and development actors. By engaging cross-sector stakeholders and supporting Project Partners in all 54 AU member states, we are building a unified, resilient support infrastructure that fuels SGBs success across the continent.
Capacity Building
We deliver high-impact training and fellowship programs tailored to the unique needs of African Small and Growing Businesses (SGBs) and their support institutions. Using hybrid delivery models—virtual, in-person, and partner-led—our trainings span topics such as trade policy, investment readiness, market strategies, digital trade etc.
Professional Advisory & Mentoring
Our structured advisory and mentoring services provide tailored, expert-led guidance to SGBs, ESOs, and Project Partners. This hands-on support enables participants to strengthen internal systems, refine business models, access funding, and improve long-term competitiveness.
Technical Support
We offer practical, results-oriented technical assistance to help participants implement what they’ve learned. This includes support for investment readiness assessments, export documentation, digital onboarding, and compliance with AfCFTA trade instruments—ensuring that knowledge translates into measurable business outcomes.
